"Areca Palm" (Chrysalidocarpus lutescens/Areca lutescens) Native to Mauritius This palm prefers bright light. Over time, its maximum height indoors is ten feet or so. Its soil must dry out between soaking waterings. It likes warm temperatures and appreciates high humidity (achieved with spray misting.) Fertilize in the spring & summer months (March through October) when tree is actively growing. Propagate by division or seeds in the spring.
