"Dwarf Palm" / Parlor Palm (Neanthe bella/Chamaedorea elegans) Native form Mexico to Central America This dwarf palm (whose maximum height rarely exceeds four feet or so) grows beautifully in moderate light or bright light. In any light, its soil must dry out between thorough soaking waterings. It appreciates high humidity (achieved with spray misting). Fertilize in the spring & summer months (March through October) when tree is actively growing. Propagate by division or seeds in the spring. This is the perfect palm for smaller areas in the home or office.
