"Fiddle
Leaf Fig"
(Ficus lyrata/Ficus pandurata) Native to West Africa
Can be grown in bright moderate light or full sun.
In any light, its soil must dry out between thorough
soaking waterings. It tolerates low humidity extremely well.
Occasionally clean leaves of dust with a soft damp cloth. Fertilize
in spring & summer months (March through October) when tree
is actively growing. Propagate by stem cuttings (dipped in a
rooting hormone) taken in the spring. We highly recommend the use of a moisture meter to help you
determine when this trees soil has reached the necessary
state of dryness that indicates its time to correctly
water it. |
