Plain-Green "Chinese Evergreen" (Alglaonema) Native to tropical & subtropical Southeast Asia & the Philippine Islands An excellent choice for low light, but can also be grown in moderate light or bright light (where it flourishes!). It tolerates low humidity very well. In any light, let soil dry out between thorough soaking waterings. Fertilize in spring & summer months (March through October) when plant is actively growing. Propagate with stem cuttings taken in the spring. This is an extremely sturdy & reliable houseplant. In addition, it is one of the best of those plants clinically proven to purify indoor air!
